My sister came to visit me recently and we took a weekend trip together to Prague. I went not knowing what to expect and came back reading a Kafka biography and already planning my next trip there. It’s a city with such a dense and interesting history and the place itself is beautiful, if drowning in tourists and the tourist industry. It is also the home of the Golem and the birthplace of the Pesach Haggadah! We visited the Mucha Museum, the Kafka Museum, the extremely old astronomical clock, the Castle, the Jewish Quarter, the theater where a few Mozart operas premiered, a brewery run by monks, and I’m sure there is something I forgot, as we saw so much in just one weekend.
